Yalecrest Neighborhood Children’s Theatre (YNCT)

Growing Through Theatre
YNCT is a learning group for children to explore their imagination through theatre. We brainstorm, play games, create, design, and perform. Our group is happy to help your child learn and grow through theatre!

We are now enrolling rising 2nd to 6th grade students for our Winter 2026 session (Saturday mornings at Anderson Foothill Library, starting on January 10th with a performance on March 14th). Use the “Upcoming Session” button to learn more.

Improv Games
Students will laugh, think fast, and stretch their imaginations with fun, high-energy improv games! These activities build confidence, creativity, and teamwork as campers learn to think on their feet and express themselves on stage.
Script Writing
Students become storytellers as they create their own scenes and short plays! They’ll explore characters, dialogue, and plot in a supportive environment, all while learning how to bring their ideas to life on paper—and eventually, on stage.
Designing
From costume sketches to set backdrops, students will dive into the world of theatre design! This hands-on experience lets kids explore the visual side of storytelling while using their creativity to shape the look and feel of their production.
Leadership Skills: Each session, we focus on a specific leadership skill—like listening, collaboration, or giving and receiving feedback. These skills are woven into everything we do, helping kids grow not just as performers, but as confident, thoughtful people.
Parent Feedback from Fall Session:

“Each week they couldn’t wait to go. YNCT is the highlight of their week.”
“She loved coming and I love that she was taught to speak loud and confidently. What a great life skill to learn in theater. Thank you!”
“Loved that he got to experience the community, hard work, and excitement that comes with putting on a performance.”

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
